Camp Pekiwewin
Camp Pekiwewin has been established as an anti-police violence, emergency relief and prayer camp with a harm reduction approach for house-less people sleeping rough.
Camp Pekiwewin is led by Indigenous 2 Spirit women and femme folks working in solidarity with Black, LGBTQ2S and settler allies. Most Pekiwewin residents are in between housing, or have many years of lived experiences of homelessness. Pekiwewin provides visibility, safety and security for people who live in tents.
