The moose population of La Vérendrye Parc has been declining rapidly over the last few years, but Quebec is ignoring findings around the decline in moose population.
For local Anishinaabe, moose are one of the main food sources they harvest and are important to their traditional knowledge and ways of being. They are calling on the government to implement a moose moratorium to protect the moose and allow the population to grow.
