Onagoshi-Lila Haymond is an Anishnaabekwe mother from Kebaowek First Nation, currently residing in Treaty 9 Territory – Cochrane, ON. With a professional background in Indigenous education and community-led action in the public and nonprofit sectors, her career has been devoted to supporting Indigenous-led initiatives. She is also a doula, working to bring decolonized birth and reproductive care back into Indigenous communities. Onagoshi-Lila believes that the road to landback and intergenerational healing must involve all scopes of resistance working in tandem against colonial oppression, and towards the reclamation of Indigenous sovereignty, cultural revitalization, and the well-being of our lands, waters, and future generations.
