Onagoshi Haymond

Operations Manager

Meet Onagoshi (she/her), an Algonquin woman from Timiskaming First Nation, currently residing in Cochrane, ON on Treaty 9 territory. With a professional background in Indigenous education, non-profit, and homelessness prevention initiatives, Onagoshi has dedicated her career to serving urban Indigenous communities. She has also sat on the Board of Directors for the OFIFC Ininew Friendship Centre, which ignited her passion for supporting Indigenous Peoples through colonial oppression and encouraging a more sustainable and equitable society.

Onagoshi's appreciation for Mother Earth and all creation has been with her since childhood, instilled in her through attending ceremony and pow-wows with her family. When she's not at her desk, you'll find her spending quality time with her loved ones, camping, writing, or listening to music.

As a proud mother, stepmother, auntie, and sister, Onagoshi is determined to pave the way for a better future for all marginalized groups. Her hope is to encourage the younger generations to follow the Red Road and work against societal oppression. Miigwetc!
