Keiza Pynn

Communications Manager

Keiza Pynn has proud roots in Nunatukavut Inuit on the eastern islands of so-called Canada and grew up in Nanasivik, Nunavut. Her career reflects a wealth of professional experience in reconciliation and a deep understanding of Indigenous peoples. She has traveled across Canada with CBC supporting Indigenous stories in Saskatchewan, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. Keiza played an important role in CBC's "Beyond 94” reconciliation platform, monitoring the government’s responses to the 94 Calls to Action and building a framework to promote the platform across Canada, including the development of a free curriculum program for K-12 students on reconciliation. 

Independently, Keiza has supported First Nations communities in communications and marketing roles during pivotal events such as general elections, ratification and land code voting as well as economic and business development strategies. Her work has benefitted communities including Cowessess First Nation, Muscowpetung First Nation, and kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation. Additionally, she has led key projects in collaboration with the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council and partners like Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, focusing on the Duty to Consult and Accommodate Indigenous peoples. 

Keiza has also served as an Indigenous Advisor with Phoenix Group Advertising to various government entities in Saskatchewan, including Tourism Saskatchewan, Ministry of Justice and Attorney General, Ministry of Education and the Status of Women Office.
