Haley's journey within ICA began when she became a part of CreateAction Cohort 5. During this experience, she served as the Inform + Connect Intern, a role that paved the way for her transition into the position as the Youth Communications Coordinator at ICA!
As she seeks to learn and grow, Haley is presently pursuing her studies on a part-time basis at Norquest College. Additionally, she is deeply committed to preserving her Indigenous cultural traditions and is presently involved in learning Stoney, her native language, through community-based classes. She also contributes her time to the Youth Climate Lab's RAD Cohort 2.0, focusing on "youth-led radical collaboration and climate justice."
Haley's commitment to her community is further demonstrated by her collaboration with fellow youth in her community on the development of a youth program. This initiative is aimed at fostering resources and engagement among her peers, and their dedication has been recognized through the approval of a grant provided by the Indigenous Youth Roots Creation Grant! Haley looks forward to the positive impact their work will bring to their community, promising a brighter future!
