Youth Training in Ethical Knowledge Sharing and Co-Production to Advance Northern, Indigenous-Led Conservation and Stewardship

About the Camp
Camp participants will learn about climate change, including its local and international impacts Todd from indigenous and scientific perspectives. Participants will learn from both knowledge systems about biodiversity, the environment, land, stewardship, and monitoring, that will deepen their understanding of themselves and their connection to each other and the land. This will include learning about the history of residential schools, and their affects on indigenous people and potential paths towards reconciliation. Land-based learning will be led by elders and knowledge holders that will share a holistic indigenous worldview that will help camp participants apply their learning to specific future research projects and opportunities. A certificate in land-based learning is included as part of the program.
