WATCH | 3-Part JT Webinar Series: Part Three - Policy for the PEOPLE

Indigenous Climate Action (ICA) and Sacred Earth Solar (SES) are excited to share our online learning series, where we will begin to unpack the Just Transition Guide, released last fall in 2023. In this 3-part webinar series, we will facilitate open and informative conversations around Indigenous-led Just Transitions, renewable energies and project implementation, and policy considerations for a Just Transition (JT). Together, we can create the climate justice frameworks that are necessary for the complete and equitable phase out of fossil fuels that are currently worsening this climate crisis.

In the third part, Policy for the PEOPLE, we explore community-led initiatives, using imagination to envision frameworks beyond renewable energy and Just Transition policy—highlighting the importance of Indigenous Rights advocacy & how current policy frameworks implemented locally, nationally, or internationally are harmful to Indigenous communities globally—and introduce effective frameworks for supporting Indigenous community-led Just Transition projects. With a week to go before New York Climate Week, we will begin to highlight some key next steps in real climate solutions.
