There is an undeniable correlation between the violence against Mother Earth and the violence against Indigenous women, girls, two-spirit, and gender-diverse relatives. On Sunday, December 10, 2023, International Indigenous leaders, activists, and allies will be wearing red to bring attention to the ongoing genocide and violence of Indigenous Peoples and our lands.

Press and Media Opportunities - Actions inside COP28 include a banner intervention at the entrance of the COP28 venue beginning at 9:00 AM (GMT+4) and a large gathering at the front entrance at 17:00 (GMT+4) that will include speakers from all regions represented within the International Indigenous Peoples Forum on Climate Change (IIPFCC).
ABOUT IIPFCC
The International Indigenous Peoples Forum on Climate Change (IIPFCC) was established in 2008, as the Caucus for Indigenous Peoples (IP) participating in the UNFCCC processes. The IIPFCC represents the IP Caucus members who are attending the official UNFCCC COPs and intersessional sessions of the SBSTA and SBI bodies. International Indigenous peoples‘ representatives attending the meetings have organizations at subnational, national, and global levels with their own agendas, priorities, and proposals that they can carry and push for during the IP Caucus meetings.
